Services we offer our patients include....

Asthma Clinic

To improve the control of any patients on asthma treatment, a clinic is held with the Practice Nurse. Please book an appointment at reception.

Cervical Smear Tests

These are available to all women and are performed by the Doctor or Practice Nurses. These are normally undertaken every three years, but more frequently in certain cases. The Nurses can undertake these throughout the week and Dr Sharma and Dr Rowe perform these in gynaecology clinics which are on Thursday mornings.

Contraception

We are able to provide advice and full contraception care.

Diabetic Clinics

These are carried out at regular intervals by the Doctors & Practice Nurses. With close monitoring we aim to prevent the long term complications of this illness.

Maternity Care

Ante-natal Clinics are held weekly on Wednesday afternoon from 14:00pm - 17:00pm by a visiting midwife from the District General Hospital.

Please make an appointment at main reception or alternatively telephone the Hospital and ask to speak with the Community Midwives.

Post-natal checks and eight-week baby checks are by appointment only with the Doctor and Practice Nurse.

Minor Surgery

We undertake minor operations here at Enys Road. Please see your own GP in the first instance for referral.

Travel Clinics

All the Practice Nurses provide full travel advice on your holiday destinations.

Please make an appointment at reception well in advance of your travel dates as it may be necessary for you to commence the course of vaccinations up to two months before you travel.

You should complete and provide a travel application form ahead of your appointment so that our Practice Nurse can assess which vaccinations you require.  If necessary this may involve advising you to attend one of the local travel clinics.  Go to the Travel Vaccination area to complete an online form.

Blood Pressure Checks

Patients with high blood pressure should have their pressure checked at least once a year.

Please book with the Healthcare assistant or use our Self check machine in the downstairs waiting room.

Cholesterol Screening

By appointment with the Practice Nurses. Please ask for advice on fasting when booking an appointment.
