Welcome to Enys Road Branch Website

A big thank you to all of our patients for your kindness and understanding during these very challenging times.  We appreciate your patience whilst we try our hardest to offer the best service we can under the circumstances.

Staying at home and shielding

Please check on http://www.gov.uk‚Äč   for updates.

The symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a new, continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of or change to your sense of smell or taste

But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness.  The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.

The practice is required to take all appropriate measures to protect patients and ensure we can continue to deliver healthcare services to our patients safely.

You can you use the NHS111 Corona advice service here to see if you need medical help

If you have symptoms suggestive of Covid-19;

Stay at home and self-medicate if needed with paracetamol. Do not ring NHS111. If you wish to get more information then you can go on line to the NHS111 website - 111.nhs.uk/service/COVID-19/  which has a lot of useful information and links. You should isolate at home for 10 days . If your symptoms worsen and you feel your breathing is deteriorating or if at the end of 10 days your symptoms have not abated then and only then should you contact NHS111. Initial contact should be online, where there are links to appropriate services. If you do not have access to the internet or do not find the information you need then use the NHS 111 phone line. As safety netting we would suggest you also give the patient the option of ringing the surgery back.

If none of the above applies and you are have other concerned then please either register and use our ENGAGE system for an online consultation with a GP at the practice or call the surgery to arrange a telephone call. You can also download LIVI following instructions in our appointments information.

Please do not come into the practice where possible.

Booking Appointments

All appointments initially are by telephone.  If your problem can be dealt with by a telephone consultation then a healthcare professional will call you back.  Please do not enter the surgery unless you have a booked appointment.  There will be no more urgent afternoon walk-in clinics, this will be managed by telephone triage.  All of these changes are for your safety as well as the safety of our healthcare professionals and staff.  Please be aware that for the foreseeable future we have been advised by NHS England to suspend online booking.  Our phone lines are going to be extremely busy during this time and we thank you for your understanding and patience.

Repeat Prescriptions

You will no longer be able to pick up your prescription from the surgery.  All prescriptions will be sent electronically to a pharmacy.  Please can you let the surgery know which pharmacy you would like to nominate so that we can update your record in preparation.  If you do not nominate a pharmacy we will send your prescription to your nearest pharmacy and let you know where to collect it from.

If you wish to register for online access to order repeat medication please download the NHS app and don't use patient access as we cannot verify your ID.  You can email vmc.prescriptions1@nhs.net for your medication.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

Tell us about your problem and request medical advice using your smartphone, tablet or PC.

We now have Engage Consult available to all our patients.  It will allow us to manage non-emergency requests and respond to patients far more quickly and efficiently.

We will contact you back to discuss, provide advice, prescribe or if necessary, arrange for you to see a clinician at a time that works for you.

Please follow the link below to register for an account to use this facility. We will only accept messages if you have registered, we cannot reply to you if you have gone in as a 'guest user'.
